Professional motorcycle racer Tom Sykes was born in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England, on August 19, 1985. He made his debut in the World Superbike Championship in 2008. Reunited with Paul Bird Motorsport for the 2022 season, Sykes rode a Ducati in British Superbikes and finished in 12th position.

After finishing fourth in the World Superbike Championship in 2018, Sykes departed the Kawasaki factory racing team and raced BMWs for Shaun Muir Racing in 2019. However, during the 2021 season, BMW Motorsport fired Sykes, citing Scott Redding's 2022 contract. He competes in global superbike races with a Kawasaki satellite team in 2023.

In addition, Tom Sykes is second behind Troy Corser in career race starts and has records for the most pole places in the World Superbike Championship. Early in 2022, the UK website Motorcycle News examined his World Superbike records and reported that out of 349 races, he had 34 victories, 114 podiums, and 51 pole positions.

Riding a Stobart Vent-Axia Honda, Tom Sykes secured his maiden ride in a British Superbike in 2007; in his debut season, he placed sixth overall. After this success, he signed a contract with the Rizla Suzuki team for the 2008 season. He continued to finish fourth in the championship and made appearances at Brands Hatch and Donington Park as a wildcard World Superbike rider. His strong performance at these events helped him secure a World Superbike ride at Yamaha Motor Italia for the 2009 season. He competed in the series in 2010 with a PBM Racing Kawasaki. 2013 saw him win his first SBK championship with Kawasaki.

As far as sizing goes, I went with a medium, even though everyone advised against going with ur true size and it fits like it was tailored to me. I'm 5'7" with a 30" waist and a 39" chest and it fits perfect. If ur riding in colder climates and may need to layer up a size up in recommended, or if u have a few extra pounds. Can't be beat for the price and delivery. I am 6' and 175 #. Made the mistake of ordering up one size. Jacket was too large on me. Ordered again a large and it fits fine. Unfortunately, it cost me shipping again since I kept the first order incase the large was too small. As seems to be the case with all Leathercollection products the sizing runs on the small side. I had to send the first one back in exchange for a bigger size. The exchange was painless and smooth. I sent the initial vest back and just over a week later I received another one. That being said this vest is great. The machine stitched seems are straight and tight with no puckering of the leather. The pockets are deep and roomy and very easy to access while wearing it. The leather is soft and pliant and strong. I have no doubts that this vest will last me a very very long time. I have a 52 inch chest and had to order a 5XL for it to fit well over a jacket I liked this vest for the straight seem across the back versus the others that come down in a V. The straight seem is more conducive to my club patch. Great quality of product, hassle free exchange, great price, fast processing, cheap shipping. It's hard to find a vendor that provides all of that these days. But Leathercollection does, so they've just acquired a life long customer.
